No Way is my baby 6 years old!!!!

Brooklynn and Grandma Great! What a lucky girl to have so many people that love her so much.
Brooklynn and Daddy. What a silly guy! C'mon dad, can't we get a smile out of ya?

The best part of all....OPENING PRESENTS!!!! Can you say spoiled? Good thing she's not rotten, too!

Dinner at Carrabba's. We told Brooklynn she could choose anywhere to eat for her birthday...I was totally gearing up for either McDonalds or Chucky Cheese...but instead she chose one of our favorite italian places to eat. She LOVES steak! (medium rare....YUCK!)

Build-a-Bear was a total hit. She picked out a black lab and named it Lola. That dog has not left her side since the night she got her. (Honestly, it gets a little annoying, I have to keep reminding her that Lola may be her favorite friend, but Lola is not real. Therefore, Lola doesn't get a say in everything we do!)
Since Wade's parents were out of town on Brooklynn's birthday, we decided we would wait to do the big cake and ice cream evening until they were there to celebrate with us, so we make cupcakes instead. Strawberry cupcakes with strawberry frosting. They were really yummy and the girls had a blast decorating them. They turned out so pretty!
***I can't believe that my little girl is 6 years old. It seems like only a short time ago Wade and I were preparing for the biggest adventure in our lives, and now she is 6! Holy cow!!!! She has been everything we could have ever asked for in a daughter and so much more. We are so incredibly blessed to be her parents. She is such a kind, thoughtful, loving, strong-willed, smart, beautiful girl and I can't believe that she is ours. It is so funny because there are so many days that I question my parenting skills (for good reason) but when I look at her and see how she is turning out, I figure that we must be doing something right, because she is perfect! I know that she also has a lot of other great examples to look to in grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers and friends, and she is so lucky because it is so awesome to see how she is growing and learning every...single...day!!!! I want her to know how much we love her and how proud we are of her and how it is such a priviledge to be her parents. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKLYNN!!!!!! You are one special little lady!

She sure is a cutie. We need to get our girls together. Sage is always asking about her "other" cousin.
